Rotary Sportsmanship Banquet
Dover-Phila 5K Race and Walk

Two great events kick off Rivalry Week

A long-standing tradition is the annual New Philadelphia vs. Dover football rivalry. The annual Sportsmanship "Banquet" has become a "Breakfast" event. Hosted by members of the New Philadelphia and Dover Rotary Clubs, the Sportsmanship Breakfast is held on Saturday morning at the Buckeye Career Center, seven days before the big game the next Friday night.

The event honors the senior players, band members, cheerleaders, QTs, their coaches, teachers, and advisors. Parents of the students help to fill the Buckeye Career Center cafeteria for a great event.

On Sunday following the Sportsmanship Breakfast, runners and walkers come together for the annual Dover-Phila Rotary 5K Race and Walk. Starting and finishing from either Crater Stadium or Quaker Stadium, the event attracts well over 100 participants and raises thousands of dollars for Rotary Club's Scholarship programs and for each school's Athletic Departments.
