The Rotary Heritage Fund

Recognizing that vision and leadership were needed to help spur downtown improvements, we've created the Rotary Heritage Fund. Its mission is to be a catalyst for change and help bring about the revitalization of our downtown commercial district.

Through matching grants the Rotary Heritage Fund has already made a significant impact on the downtown environment. A grant to the Quaker Cinema helped to complete the full restoration of the classic marquee, returning it to its pre-World War two glory.

Next came the exterior renovations of another long-time downtown New Philadelphia business, Coffman Optical. The Rotary Heritage Fund made a matching grant to assist with the extensive restoration of the building's exterior, bringing a classic look to this great family business.

We fund only well-qualified, well-planned projects within the defined central business district. Members of the New Philadelphia Rotary Club serve as the Heritage Fund's board of trustees and carefully evaluate each grant application. The Rotary Heritage Fund is tax-exempt as a 501-c-3 organization and donations may be deductible for federal estate and gift tax purposes.
